Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

Summer transfers have been warming up the football market. Each player’s destination, for FUT fans, reveals several new team making possibilities looking at leagues and clubs. During the months of July and August the game gets its final pump before the next one takes over, FIFA 16.

If you don’t know how transfers work in FUT, our website has got you covered with these two articles: FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Summer Transfers Guide, it highlights the frequently asked questions by the community, all answered in details. The second one, FIFA 15 Ultimate Team List of Summer Transfers, holds updates featuring the players and their new clubs, just as the transfers are made official and later released in packs.

Today’s article will comment the transfers of some of the main players used in FUT15. What changes within the formation of the squads with that one attacker leaving or this one centre-back arriving? Good deal or not, take a look at the newest different options you’ll have for your squad, or maybe even for your trading list.

After several years playing for Bayern Munich, the German midfielder will now show his talent on the English pitch. Him being such a requested midfielder on Bundesliga-based squads, German league fans desperately need another good name. Yaya Touré, very popular CM on squads based on the BPL, will face some fair concurrence. If used as a CDM, Ramires and Matíc will dispute the spot with the German national team captain as well. And as a CAM? Despite his excellent passing and good dribbling/shooting, pace gets him behind, besides fans don’t usually use him in this position. What do you think, does SCHW31 have a spot in your team?

Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

We’re still waiting for the magnificent football presented by him in the French league. Playing for Manchester United, the Colombian captain was far from being Monaco’s scoring machine. A16 and DC19 are certain choices for BPL squads, that being said García has no chance. Although for people that like to play as Chelsea, reviving the double Cuadrado+Falcão might be our only chance to see him in action on FIFA 16.

Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

Italian league fans didn’t like this transfer at all. The main striker of the season in the Serie A showed his true love to Boca Juniors by accepting the transfer. Finishing, physicality, dribbling and pace, four excellent attributes rarely found in other strikers. For those who liked using Higuaín and Icardi (IF), the fraud Doumbia or Mandžukić will have to do. Bad for the main Italian league and Juventus, great for those waiting to see Carlitos in action for the Libertadores cup next year. La Cumbia has arrived South American territory!

Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

This trio needs no introduction. Even though they’re not the same as before, squads based on the MLS will surely have spots reserved for them. Quality passing, great long shots and leadership are some of their characteristics. Martins, Giovinco, Dempsey and Villa up front take the scoring role seriously. Kaká, from Orlando City, will now share the attention on the north-american pitch.

Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

At last the Italian league centre-back double Chiellini and Barzagli will face some variation. The new Brazilian national team’s starting centre-back is great news for the fans of Serie A Internazionale.

Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

Sold to Liverpool for a fortune, the new Brazilian marvel is the biggest hope alongside Coutinho to support Sturridge and Balotelli. The attacking midfielder shows thrilling ability at dribbling, his great appearances in the German league made him a very popular choice for squads based on the Bundesliga and he’s performed surprisingly well the Brazilian national squad’s striker role. In case he receives upgrades on some of his attributes, RF10 will be one of the most used midfielders in FIFA 16.

Top Summer Transfers in FUT15

The former Porto defender will be the solution for the Liga BBVA and Real Madrid right-back position. Danilo has got balanced stats on the six basic attributes, plus great height for air balls. Daniel Alves, De Marcos and Carvajal will be facing tough concurrence on the next edition.

One of your squad’s players was in the Summer Transfers list but hasn’t been analyzed? Do consider that the ones we paid attention to were those officialized by EA until 16th of July. If you’re thinking of getting FIFA 16, the opinions shared on this article and on others to come will be essential for you to start with the right foot. Leave your opinion on the football market today and its influences on FIFA Ultimate Team. See you next time!

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

With the FIFA cycle almost coming to an end, and EA in the process of creating the next instalment in their franchise, there is no bigger time for the FIFA team to analyse and study the ability of the players residing in their game. From the upcoming youth players at your average League 2 team to the superstars of Messi and Ronaldo, every player will be reviewed to get a measure of how accurate their ratings are, and whether they need updating.

The league that generates the most attention is the Premier League – after all, it is the most watched worldwide and draws the largest TV audience in many countries across the footballing world. EA have to make sure they hold a small margin of error with the players plying their trade here to avoid any unnecessary backlash. As a result, we are going to look at the players of each of the top clubs in the country, and give them a rating ourselves for FIFA 16. We will only be doing the players who have a chance at the first team, to avoid having to rate every young player in the team.

Here they are the FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions.

FIFA 16 Chelsea Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

The London based side had a very solid season, with a Premier League and League Cup double – therefore many of their players will be expected to gain a few ratings and increase their stats.

GK -Thibaut Courtois – 88
The young keeper made a massive statement with his first full season at Stamford Bridge and during the 2nd half of the season performed to an exceptional level to keep Chelsea on target for their league title. With only De Gea realistically able to claim a better season, the keeper has to be on the receiving end of an upgrade for his efforts in the team.

GK – Asmir Begovic – 83
To replace the outgoing Cech Chelsea have signed Stoke’s former No. 1, and years of consistency at the Britannia Stadium should see Begovic gain a minor upgrade. A good signing by Mourinho, who will surely be able to count on the Bosnian if Courtois is unable to play.

RB – Branislav Ivanovic – 83
Ivanovic has been a consistent defender for years and his talents have largely gone unappreciated – yet Chelsea benefitted from his services throughout the season and as a result he should be ranked with the best full backs in Europe. He would gain a higher rating, but EA do not tend to rate full backs as highly as other defenders and sadly that means he won’t be on the same level as the rest of his cohort.

LB – Cesar Azpilicueta – 83
Despite playing most of his career at right back, Azpilicueta has found new form under Mourinho on the left back, and easily earnt the title of best left back last year. This should see him earn a +2 to become the highest rated left back in the league.

CB – John Terry – 84
The veteran defender enjoyed another excellent season with Chelsea as he captained them to their 4th Premier League title – yet sadly his age will limit the boost that EA will give to his stats. Nevertheless, Terry is deserving of an upgrade and should receive one.

CB – Gary Cahill – 82
Whilst the England centre back did not have as good a season as his other defensive team mates, he still showed why he is considered one of the best defenders in the country, and really has enough ability to warrant a boost in rating.

CB – Kurt Zouma – 75
When called into action by Chelsea Zouma performed his task well, and showed his versatility in a number of roles. He has become one of Europe’s most talented young players and therefore should make the step up to Gold for next FIFA.

RM – Willian – 83
Willian is one of Chelsea’s most underrated players and the high levels of effort he puts in across the pitch should see his FIFA 14 rating restored. He brings a lot of balance to the Chelsea line up and should be rewarded in game with a +1 overall.

RM – Juan Cuadrado – 83

The Colombian did not enjoy a productive run in the first team with Chelsea and found himself on the bench behind Willian at points in the season – yet his performances at Fiorentina and for Colombia are what keep him from getting a downgrade. Still a top player on his day and shouldn’t lose his rating over his dry spell this year.

LM – Eden Hazard – 90
At times last year the Belgian was unplayable for Chelsea. Hazard has a higher shot conversion rate than Cristiano Ronaldo, and only 2 fewer assists than the Portugal captain. He is the most fouled player in the league because defenders find it so tough to stop him in his flow. As a result, he has made massive steps to being considered one of the best players in the world and should earn a rating that puts him in that world class bracket.

CM – Cesc Fabregas – 86
Fabregas’s season was split into two halves – his outstanding first half where he led the European assists table, and his poorer 2nd half which saw him pick up a red card and suffer a few injuries. It was his passing and vision in the team that saw Chelsea pull away right from the start of the season, and that is more than enough to return to his FIFA 14 rating.

CDM – Nemanja Matic – 85
Matic is without any doubt one of the best defensive midfielders on the planet at the moment – his promise and solid attitude at Benfica has flourished into a world class midfielder at Chelsea, and should be given a boost in stats to match this.

CAM – Oscar – 83
The Brazilian play maker did not show his ability to the full in 2014-15, often looking out of touch and sloppy around his teammates. As a result Oscar should receive a minor downgrade, which would see him go down to 83, still a high rating for someone in his position but not one of the best in the league as his current rating may suggest.

CDM – Ramires – 81
Ramires found himself stuck behind Matic and Fabregas for much of last season, only getting into the team when either of the two were injured or suspended. Consequently his rating should be kept the same – he did not impress, but he was not disappointing, and keeps his 81.

CDM – John Obi Mikel – 76
Whilst Ramires’s form remained neutral for the most part, Mikel had poor performances whenever he found himself in the first team. His age has caught up with him, and he does not maintain the same fitness level that Matic and Ramires both share – which should see him receive a downgrade and potentially make him non-rare.

ST – Diego Costa – 86
Similar to Fabregas, Costa’s season was a tale of two halves, with a world class first half and a mediocre second half. His goals were crucial in keeping Chelsea 1st and despite a lack of goals in the 2nd half and in Europe the striker was one of the signings of the 2014-15 campaign. As a result he should keep the 86 rated upgrade that he received in the winter.

ST – Falcao – 84
A series of lethargic for Manchester United last season do not reflect well on the Colombian striker, and it will be a major surprise if he manages to keep a rating as high as 88, or indeed anything above 86. He will receive a major downgrade, but will still retain a decent card as his record for other teams is very prolific and warrants recognition in FIFA

ST – Loic Remy – 81
Whenever Remy featured for Chelsea, he made significant impacts with crucial goals in games won by a single goal margin. His ability should see him gain a small upgrade, and a rating closer to that of previous FIFA’s.

FIFA 16 Manchester City Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

Despite finishing 2nd and continuing their 4 year streak of finishing in the top 2, there were several players at the club who did not play to their full potential, and those who failed to live up to the clubs high standards. Some downgrades are expected to be heading City’s way.

GK – Joe Hart – 85
Hart earnt the Premier League Golden Glove for the 4th time in his career and was superb for City in an otherwise substandard season for the City defence. His performance in the Champions League tie v Barcelona was world class and it’s time his rating reflected that – and an 85 should give him that credibility.

GK – Willy Caballero – 79
Caballero made two appearances last year, and shouldn’t see any change with his card. Nothing else to say for him really.

RB – Pablo Zabaleta – 83
He has earnt himself the reputation of the best right back in the league in FIFA 15 yet last year he was caught out at times in the City defence, and Ivanovic has probably earnt himself the same level of recognition at Chelsea. Despite this, Zabaleta should keep his rating as he is still one of the best full backs in the league and a key part of City’s defence.

RB – Bacary Sagna – 80
Sagna barely received a game for City last year but that shouldn’t detract from the obvious ability that the Frenchman still has. Should keep his rating like Caballero as he would still play well for City is given the chance.

LB – Gael Clichy – 79
Clichy fell out of form for much of the 2014-15 season and became a bit of a liability at the back – and therefore should receive a downgrade for his shoddy performances. He is becoming eerily similar to Kyle Walker, who also holds very solid pace but lacks the defensive ability required to be a top full back.

LB – Aleksandar Kolarov – 78
Kolarov is still a decent player, even if behind Clichy in the squad, and should keep his rating for FIFA 16. His dead ball skills are enough to keep him at 78, even if at times his defending has not been excellent.

CB – Vincent Kompany – 85
Kompany has not held good form for an entire year now and his status amongst the best defenders in the world is slipping as a result. Despite this, the Belgian is still a key part of the City defence and will retain a very good rating for a defender – even if it is a rating below what it is this year. 85 seems fair considering his poor performances this year.

CB – Eliaquim Mangala – 78
Mangala did not enjoy a good season at City whatsoever, with his shambolic defending and rugged decision making turning him into the worst defender at City last season by a mile. He will struggle to hold onto his 80 rating and should slip down into the high 70s, most likely at 78. This, of course, will be a bonus for teams built with cheap players as his pace will no doubt be used by those needing a quick fix.

CB – Martin Demichelis – 79
Demichelis was the laughing stock of City despite not doing terribly last season and this year he has become a more reliable defender at the club than many of his cohort. He probably did not perform well enough to earn an upgrade, but was not bad by any means and should keep his 79 rating.

RM – Jesus Navas – 80
The Spaniards stint in England has proven to be a revelation in the exaggeration of Navas’s ability as a player. Poor decision making, sloppy dribbling, a failure to find the net and limited impact against the top teams make Navas a clear contender for the biggest downgrade and should be moved down to an 80 rating.

LM/CAM – David Silva – 89
Silva has received a lot of criticism in the past for not performing to the level that his ability demands, but 2014-15 was one that really highlighted his importance to the team. Superb dribbling, brilliant passing and a good eye for his teammates make him fully deserving of an upgrade to 89. The only thing uncertain is whether he will be shifted out to LM again or back at CAM.

LM – Samir Nasri – 82
An injury hit season did not excuse the poor performances that were given by Samir this season, as the Frenchman failed to use his ability to make much of an impact. Pales in comparison to team mates like Silva, and will be receiving a downgrade almost definitely.

CM – Yaya Toure – 85
The Ivorian midfielder did not hit the heights that he did in 2014-15, and his age is slowly beginning to show with less dominant performances in the middle of the pitch. A downgrade is due, however he will not lose too many of his solid stats as he still can make the difference for City in the middle of the pitch.

CM – Fernandinho – 80
The former Shakhtar man will look back on 2014-15 with disappointment. Failed to perform to the level that his 82 card would have suggested and often looked lackadaisical in the City midfield. Will not be expected to keep such an extortionately high rating for FIFA 16.

CDM – Fernando – 77
Fernando was another player who failed to make the grade as a Matic style CDM last year, and was perhaps an even poorer fit than Fernandinho – meaning a downgrade is likely to be given to him. City did not see a return in the extortionate fee paid for the Brazilian and will be hoping Fernando can try and rectify last season’s mistakes.

CM – Fabian Delph – 78
Enjoyed an energetic and progressive spell under Tim Sherwood at Aston Villa, and if given game time can build on that form at the Etihad. Deserves a big boost in rating as well as a rare card for a player who has been an England international for nearly a year.

CAM – Raheem Sterling – 80
The abuse has been continuous for the former Liverpool attacker but after a lacklustre campaign with Liverpool Sterling should be able to develop his game further with players like Aguero and Silva around him. He will most likely keep his rating as he still was one of Liverpool’s best players in 2014-15 and will hope to perform well in 2015-16 as his transfer fee suggests.

ST – Edin Dzeko – 83
Dzeko suffered from a lack of playing time last year, and a 15 game dry spell in front of goal meant he only scored 6 from 31 appearances in the season. A move away looks likely – yet the Bosnian should not lose his rating as he is still a very able striker with a good record in previous years.

ST – Sergio Aguero – 89
One of the best strikers in the world when he stays fit, and one of the key players at Manchester City. Won the golden boot last year and looks set to lead the line in a similar fashion – and such ability should see his rating boosted to the world class level that the Argentine clearly plays at.

ST – Wilfried Bony – 81
Bony did not feature much in the City team, only gaining a few sub appearances and one or two starts, yet his performances for Swansea should be more than enough to let Bony keep his rating. A good alternative for Aguero and a solid card at 81 should be seen in FIFA 16.

FIFA 16 Arsenal Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

3rd place in the league, solid victories over Liverpool and Manchester City, and another FA Cup gives Arsenal another great season to build on. Many of their players were exceptional and will surely be the recipients of upgrades across the board.

GK – Petr Cech – 85
One of Arsene Wenger’s most important signings in recent years, as his performance in the Community Shield displayed. The former Chelsea no. 1 did not get much game time in 2014-15, being behind Courtois, but clearly still holds much of his ability and class and should keep his rating with ease.

GK – David Ospina – 78
Managed to displace Wojciech Szczesny from the starting line-up, and followed it up with decent performances for the team. The Colombian is growing in recognition as a keeper and should receive a boost in rating as a result.

RB – Mathieu Debuchy – 80
Debuchy was unlucky to have so many injuries inflicted upon him last season, and should keep the same rating as a result. Next season will be more of a test for him if he stays fit.

RB – Hector Bellerin – 75
One of the biggest breakthroughs of the season came in the form of Hector Bellerin. Arsenal looked set to struggle with injuries littered all over the defence yet his dominant displays made sure the Gunners did not fall apart. Deserving of a massive upgrade and just about enough to get a gold card – which would be another huge bonus for those looking to build cheap pace teams.

LB – Kieran Gibbs – 80
Looked a natural fit for England when deployed out on the left, and was solid there for Arsenal when remaining fit. Whilst 80 may be a bit generous, the England full back has performed when needed to and is deserving of recognition for that.

LB – Nacho Monreal – 79
Monreal has taken vast amounts of criticism from Arsenal yet his hard work and graft in the team is more than often ignored. Another stand in for the injured Gibbs and at times a CB in for Koscielny, he was crucial at times for Arsenal and fully deserving of a big upgrade next year.

CB – Laurent Koscielny – 84
The most important defender at the club. Keeps Arsenals defence organized, is excellent in the air, and deals with fast strikers better than the majority of defenders. Easily one of the best CBs in the league, and deserving of an upgrade to match that.

CB – Per Mertesacker – 81
The same cannot be said of Per Mertesacker – his pace has been exposed several times this season such as in the Champions League and he is not the defender that his 83 rating would suggest. He can cope against smaller teams but attackers with confidence have not found it hard to beat him – and he should receive a downgrade.

CB – Gabriel – 77
The Brazilian did not receive enough playing time to be given an upgrade or downgrade, so shouldn’t change from his 77 card.

RM – Theo Walcott – 81
The go to man for pace should keep his rating again – another injury hit season has prevented him from having the impact he could have done but when he is played up front he has found goals and he did at points last season. He should remain at RM though given the competition for ST at Arsenal.

RM – Alex Oxlade Chamberlain – 80
Walcott’s cheaper replacement is deserving of some recognition for his ability – he has a decent shot to him and knows how to make an impact in a game. Whilst the prediction is generous he does hold serious ability and could find himself gaining more plaudits with a good run of form in 2015-16.

CAM – Mesut Ozil – 87
He has come in for much criticism during his time at Arsenal yet his continued influence in the middle of the park for his team cannot be ignored. One of the most influential players at the club in terms of playing style and deserves his FIFA 14 rating back.

CM – Santi Cazorla – 86
The Spaniard is another player who controls play for Arsenal. Performances such as the 2-0 win over Man City show why he is so coveted by clubs in Spain and why Arsenal have done well to keep him for the next few years. When kept in the middle Arsenal play a far greater game and should give him a nice upgrade at CM.

CM – Aaron Ramsey – 83
Though not as stellar as 2013-14, Ramsey still contributed to the overall campaign with goals and assists, including a fantastic effort against Galatasaray in December, and should keep his rating. Useful all round player for Arsenal to have in their squad.

CM – Jack Wilshere – 82
Wilshere, when fit, can be very difficult to stop. Solid performances for both England and Arsenal have shown that he is on his way to reaching the potential that his early career promised, and his current form is more than worthy of improving his rating to 82.

CDM – Mikel Arteta – 78
With his influence in the team’s midfield already dipping, an injury hit season was not what Arteta would have wanted as club captain. It is sad to see him losing physicality with his age but he is not the midfielder he used to be and his rating should reflect that in FIFA 16.

CAM – Tomas Rosicky – 80
When Rosicky gets a game, he nearly always looks impressive and a natural fit to the Arsenal playing style – which prevents Rosicky from receiving a downgrade. However for years he has found himself behind his teammates and with his age it will be harder for Rosicky to keep up the performances necessary to earn a 80 rating.

CDM – Mathieu Flamini – 76
Age has caught up to Flamini in the same way that is has affected Arteta, and he finds himself with less game time and falling in importance at Arsenal – this will most likely see him drop a rating down to 76.

CDM – Francis Coquelin – 75
The young Frenchman has become Arsenal’s most reliable CDM over the course of a few months, and his solidarity for the side in the 2nd half of 2014-15 should see him rocket up in rating to become a Gold player. A very good player to have in the team for Wenger.

RW – Alexis Sanchez – 86
Arsenal’s most important player of 2014-15’s first half was easily Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean winger lifted Arsenal in numerous games and made a statement of intent for the club with the players that it wanted to sign. Is fully deserving of a card approaching the world class bracket and will surely be a key player in 2015-16.

ST – Olivier Giroud – 80
Giroud may not be a world class striker but his role in the team regarding link up play and positioning is key. The player knows how to earn a goal from tight positions and that should earn him a minor upgrade to reach the 80 standard.

ST – Danny Welbeck – 79
Welbeck may not score as many as other strikers around him, but his work attitude and energy in the team make him a valuable asset for Wenger to have at his disposal. Combine that with a hat-trick against Galatasaray, and leading the way for England in the European qualifiers, and you have enough to earn him a marginal boost in rating.

FIFA 16 Manchester United Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

After a disappointing 2013-14, Louis van Gaal has successfully steered United to within a play–off of the Champions League. This should see a few upgrades across the squad for their players.

GK – David De Gea – 88
It is not often a goalkeeper can be considered the best player at a club but if there were ever a case for it de Gea would have won it. His performances kept United afloat for much of the 1st half of the season and should be rewarded with a card to put him on the same platform as other world class goalkeepers such as Courtois and Neuer. If he stays at the club it will be a massive bonus for United.

GK – Anders Lindegaard – 77
Looks to be on his way out of the club but even so a 77 rating for FIFA 16 seems fair, given that he did not gain much playing time at the club.

GK – Sergio Romero – 75
Argentina’s No. 1 is good enough to receive a gold card, even if his performaces at the Copa America were not excellent. He is not a top goalkeeper but a decent stand in and worthy of a gold card at least.

RB – Matteo Darmian – 77
One of the underrated stars of Serie A now has a home at Old Trafford and will surely be set to have a good 2015-16 for United. He should receive a boost in rating anyway as he is now a RB instead of a RM, and his improved stats at RB will see him get a push into the Gold category.

LB – Luke Shaw – 75
Luke Shaw had an inconsistent first season at United, with solid performances in some games, and recklessness and ill-discipline following it in the next. He shouldn’t lose a rating as his ability is still enough for a gold card, yet if he is to continue to develop his game he will need a longer run in the team, and thus should not receive an upgrade.

CB – Jonny Evans – 77
Evans has been substandard for a good few years now and incidents such as the one against Papiss Cisse last season do not help his cause. Should be given a downgrade and reduced to 77 overall.

CB – Chris Smalling – 79
A much improved defender under Louis van Gaal, and his performances this year deserve a card on the same level as England teammate Phil Jones. Smalling can easily fulfill the potential shown during his time at Fulham and early years at United, and will hopefully continue to impress for both club and country.

CB – Marcos Rojo – 80
As with many other players, Rojo played well when fit but wasn’t fit for enough of the season. He was, however sublime when he played for Argentina and helps to dispel the myth that the country has no decent defenders in it. 80 is a fair rating for Rojo.

CB – Phil Jones – 79
Jones’s commitment and tenacity whilst defending can be matched by very few others in the Premier League. On the other hand his decision making can be very poor and leads to costly mistakes being made at the back for the side. It is his recklessness that prevents him from getting an upgrade, as at points in 2014-15 he looked far more composed and reliable than ever before in a United shirt.

RM – Antonio Valencia – 81
Valencia’s versatility paid off this season – despite players like Mata and Di Maria occupying his preferred RM position he was able to effortlessly switch to a full back position to prevent United’s defensive injuries from costing the team points. His blistering speed and improved defensive ability should see the Ecuadorian gain a rating for FIFA 16.

LM – Ashley Young – 80
One of United’s most overrated players in past FIFA’s, Young has seemingly turned his form around with a series of solid performances in the team. His once laughable crossing and passing has turned into a skill effective enough to keep Angel di Maria out of the team – this warrants recognition, and should give him enough to get an 80 rated card

CAM – Angel Di Maria – 86
Whilst he looks set to join PSG, Di Maria still has a rating that can be debated. Whilst he did not enjoy a great season with United, he still managed to tally an impressive number of assists, which reflect well on his record there. In addition the argument can be made that Di Maria deserved an upgrade following his move from Real Madrid, in which he was their best player of the 2013-14 season. Taking all form from 2013-15 the rating should be left at 86 – as despite a poor return for the Manchester side he is still a world class player that could play well at most clubs around the world.

CM – Bastian Schweinsteiger – 88
A world class player like Schweinsteiger will no doubt be a huge signing for van Gaal. However, Schweinsteiger’s injury problems have prevented him from building on the form that saw him lift the World Cup with his national team. This will ultimately prevent him from gaining another rating – though really 88 is very solid in its own right and should satisfy his ability.

CM – Juan Mata – 86
Whilst Oscar often found a lack of form at Chelsea, Mata showed his former club what they were missing out on with some of his performances for the Reds. The £40m man performed exceptionally well in games against Liverpool and will look to build on his good form in the new season, where he should have an upgraded 86 rating.

CDM – Morgan Schneiderlin – 81
Southampton will dearly miss Schneiderlin going into the new season, and United will reap the benefits of having him in their squad. The player has performed well for a number of seasons in the Premier League and he provides cover to a region that was often stretched when Carrick got injured – and as a result should see an upgrade up to an 81.

CDM – Michael Carrick – 81
Carrick may have felt hard done by his -3 downgrade between FIFA 14 and 15 but his form – when fit – this year has been crucial to the 4th place finish that the team has accomplished. His card is in need of a boost to match the passing and graft that accompanies Carrick’s game and a boost up to 81 should do that.

CM – Marouane Fellani – 80
The former Everton man performed as was asked under van Gaal and finally looks more settled in his deeper role as a CM. Should be in line for a marginal upgrade for his efforts.

CM – Ander Herrera – 81
Spain’s ability to produce quality attacking playmakers is one matched by none worldwide, and Herrera’s talent should not go unrecognised for FIFA 16. He was sublime at times for United and his hard work should give him a boost in rating.

CDM – Daley Blind – 80
Similar to Valencia, Blind was asked to play in a number of positions over the course of the season and did so with diligence. His defensive work should see him gain a rating to move up to 80 as a result.

LW – Memphis Depay – 81
Depay has been one of the best players of the Eredivisie for a good few years and a reunion with van Gaal with no doubt hugely benefit the player. Depay should see his card get a boost up to around 81 and his ability will surely shine through under a manager who has seen the best of him at the World Cup last year.

ST – Javier Hernandez – 81
A season on the bench at Real Madrid has done little to convince van Gaal that Hernandez is still viable to stay at the club but his rating should remain at 81 – he is still a good striker when given time in the team. It will be finding that time that will be Hernandez’s biggest concern for 2015-16.

ST – Wayne Rooney – 87
Despite Rooney recording his lowest goal tally since joining the club, it is clear that Rooney has still had a good season in his new role as club captain. He was deployed a lot deeper by van Gaal where he used his good ball control and passing to have an impact, and when played up front could still be clinical and efficient. Should return to his FIFA 14 rating.

FIFA 16 Tottenham Spurs Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

A season of progress at Tottenham after the disappointment of the wasted money under Andre Villas Boas, and the emergence of one player in particular will get many Tottenham fans looking forward to 2015-16.

GK – Hugo Lloris – 86
Another excellent season for Lloris has seen another wave of bids come in for the Frenchman. Regardless of that, Lloris is deserving of an upgrade and will more than likely return to his FIFA 13 rating of 86, which has the potential to go higher if his form continues into next year.

GK – Michel Vorm – 79
Vorm has not got much action since his move to Tottenham and is set for another season on the bench – making it very likely that he will keep his current rating.

RB – Kyle Walker – 76
The England defender has struggled for fitness but even so has not been the defensive prospect Tottenham were hoping he would develop into. With the exception of his pace Walker has often been caught out by attackers and thus should lose a rating.

RB – DeAndre Yedlin – 72
Yedlin has enjoyed success with Seattle Sounders and can challenge Kyle Walker’s spot in the team with continued form going into 2015-16. He should get a substantial upgrade going into 2015-16.

LB – Danny Rose – 75
Rose over the past year has been considered for England duty and established himself fully in the Tottenham team. He should get the marginal upgrade to move him to gold status.

LB – Ben Davies – 75
Davies has become a seasoned Wales international and were it not for injury the young Spurs full back would have featured more prominently this season. Another promising young player that Tottenham have in their team who should be making the step up to gold fairly shortly.

CB – Eric Dier – 75
A season in the Premier League has let Dier show off some of his European experience with Sporting, and he now looks a far more accomplished centre back as a result. Ignoring the poor European under 21s, Dier has made progress over the 2014-15 season and should receive an upgrade heading into FIFA 16.

CB – Jan Vertonghen – 82
Tottenham’s defensive mistakes last year were panned by many critics, yet one man – Jan Vertonghen – has stood out above the rest. It is no coincidence that Tottenham’s finest period of form came when Kaboul was replaced by Vertonghen, and as a result he should retain his place.

CB – Federico Fazio – 79
Fazio shouldn’t take too much of the blame, with main perpetrator Kaboul shipped out of the club, but his defensive performances were not always great last year and the Argentine looks set to lose a rating as a result.

CB – Toby Alderweireld – 80
Kaboul’s replacement will surely give Tottenham a large stride towards fixing their defence. At Southampton the Belgian was superb in a parternship with Jose Fonte, and will surely form a crucial partnership with Jan Vertonghen in the heart of the Spurs back line. The upgrade is a given at this point.

RM – Aaron Lennon – 79
Lennon played well on loan for Everton which balances out the relatively dry spell he had whilst under Pochettino in the first half of Tottenham’s season. Should retain his rating for FIFA 16.

RM – Erik Lamela – 78
A very frustrating player to have in the team – one minute he will use his technical ability to score a fantastic goal, the next he will struggle to beat a defender and fail to string together a pass. Whilst his ability is there he has a long way to go before he can restore the FIFA 14 rating of 80, and will likely remain at 78.

RM – Andros Townsend – 75
Townsend, when playing well, can be a game changer – look to the England game against Italy for an example of what he is capable of. His growing confidence and ability should be reflected in his rating and that should see him leap up to a gold card at 75.

LM – Nacer Chadli – 78
Chadli, before Harry Kane started firing goals in for Tottenham, was the team’s top scorer at the start of the season and has shown his skill in games internationally and at club level. An upgrade should be on its way for the Belgian.

CAM – Christian Eriksen – 85
The first half of the 2013-14 season saw the young Dane put in performances worthy of a world class label. Whilst the 2nd half did not reflect on the achievements of the first, it is quite obvious that Eriksen is on the way to the very top of world football as one of the best playmakers in Europe. An upgrade will surely be heading his way.

CM – Moussa Dembele – 80
Dembele did not have a great season under Pochettino but it was not as awful as some have suggested, and nowhere near the level that Paulinho was performing at during his tenure at White Hart Lane. Should retain his rating – though is certainly on the cusp of losing it and dropping down to 79 or 78.

CM – Nabil Bentaleb – 75
Bentaleb is another young player looking promising at Tottenham. His ability on the ball is too high to be given a silver card, and should be the recipient of a gold card for FIFA 16.

ST – Harry Kane – 82
One of the breakthrough performances of the 2014-15 season came in the form of Harry Kane, who fired his way to 31 goals in 51 games and the PFA Young Player of the Year. As a result a massive upgrade should be heading to the young Englishman, and should put him firmly into the 80+ rated players.

ST – Emmanuel Adebayor – 78
The Togolese striker had a poor season under Pochettino and his ability in front of goal appears to be drying up. A downgrade following his seemingly imminent move to Aston Villa will accompany him over to FIFA 16.

ST – Roberto Soldado – 79
Soldado’s dry spell for Tottenham has become well known, and represents just one of the many failed signings made with the Bale transfer money under Villas Boas. Whilst his effort is praise worthy his goal scoring record isn’t, and a downgrade is almost certainly set to hit the Spaniard.

FIFA 16 Liverpool Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Premier League Players Predictions

The departure of star striker Luis Suarez, and injuries to strikers across the season left Liverpool struggling for goals up front – it was a striking feature in an overly negative season for the club following the excitement of 2013-14. But whilst the team on the whole struggled, there were still good performances from some members of the squad.

GK – Simon Mignolet – 81
Mignolet came in for a lot of criticism at the beginning of the season, with many calling for a massive downgrade for the Belgian. However his form did pick up in the 2nd half and he did put in some match winning performances – not enough to completely eliminate the prospect of a downgrade but enough to prevent the downgrade reducing the rating by more than one.

RB – Nathaniel Clyne – 79
A superb campaign with Southampton should see Clyne receive a hefty upgrade for FIFA 16. Both England and Liverpool have lacked a quality defender on the right flank for some years now and Clyne looks that natural fit to fill that role for years to come. 79 would be an increase of three on his current rating but really the upgrade could be even bigger, Clyne has played that well.

LB – Alberto Moreno – 76
A dire season at Liverpool has seen the Spaniard look out of his depth in the Premier League, and a downgrade in rating is expected for FIFA 16. Moreno will most likely leave Liverpool for Italy or Spain, where his pace will be better used – but in the Premier League just having pace is not an acceptable level for a defender at a top club.

CB – Martin Skrtel – 81
It is well known fact that Liverpool are a far stronger team defensively when Martin Skrtel plays, and whilst he does not deserve an upgrade he should not be one of the Liverpool players receiving a downgrade by any means.

CB – Mamadou Sakho – 80
A poor season for the Frenchman should see him lose a rating to slip down to 80. The defender was by no means the worst of the Liverpool defence but he did not have a good season and the downgrade will reflect that.

CB – Dejan Lovren – 77
Lovren has already become a joke name when listing centre backs in the Premier League and a weighty downgrade is surely on its way. The defender has not done anything to replicate his Southampton form and should see a big reduction in his rating.

CB – Kolo Toure – 76
Kolo Toure has become a shadow of the player he once was, with his lack of positioning and defensive awareness an easy feature to exploit for opposition attackers. Another Liverpool player heading for a downgrade in FIFA 16.

RM – Lazar Markovic – 77
The Serbian has failed to impress in his first season at Liverpool and a sending off in the Champions League won’t help his progress at Liverpool either. With Sterling gone, however, he has a chance to reinstate himself in the team for 2015-16 – but the downgrade will probably be heading Markovic’s way.

CAM – Philippe Coutinho – 83
Coutinho was one of the shining stars of 2014-15 for Liverpool, and would have vastly improved Brazil’s Copa America as well had he not been injured. He should easily move his rating to a higher 83, and looks set to lead the creative side of Liverpool’s game in 2015-16.

CAM – Roberto Firmino – 81
Liverpool have quite a few attacking playmakers stocked at the club now, and Firmino will hope to take his good form at Hoffenheim with him to Liverpool. The Brazilian faces stern competition from Coutinho and Lallana in the squad, and will have to play at his best to maintain a space in the squad. He should carry his rating from this season over to FIFA 16.

CAM – Adam Lallana – 80
Lallana will have to show more of the form seen at Southampton that earnt him a move to Liverpool if he is to stake his place in this highly competitive squad after a relatively quiet 2014-15 season for the Englishman, but his 80 rating is a fair one and one he has earnt following the 2013-14 season at the Saints.

CDM – Jordan Henderson – 82
He is the new cover star of FIFA in the UK and it is almost guaranteed that EA will be giving Henderson a big upgrade. Despite the turmoil of the 2014-15 season Henderson was a shining light, earning himself a team of the season and with Gerrard’s departure became the captain of Liverpool. An upgrade into the 80s is probably on its way, and Henderson will have to use his leadership skills to fill the gap left by Gerrard at the club.

CDM – Lucas Leiva – 79
More of a squad player than a key player at this point in his career, Lucas is still a useful player for Brendan Rodgers to have at the club. Hasn’t done much wrong when called upon and should easily keep his current rating of 79.

CM – James Milner – 80
Milner’s departure from Manchester City was seen as a loss for the club and Liverpool can gain a lot from the services of Milner. An upgrade should be given if Milner does get his wish and play at CM for Liverpool, and his versatility and graft will no doubt secure Liverpool’s squad depth for 2015-16.

CM – Joe Allen – 77
Allen had a relatively average season as whilst he didn’t do much wrong failed to captivate the team with his performances and did not perform to the standard needed at the top level. He is safe with his 77 rating for now yet will struggle to keep hold of it if a similar performance follows him into 2015-16.

CDM – Emre Can – 78
Emre Can should be viewed as another positive for Liverpool with his performances in 2014-15. When played at CDM he looked a solid choice, and far more secure than Gerrard had done previously at the position. So long as he stays in midfield Can should be in line for a substantial upgrade and a gold card in his natural position.

LW – Jordan Ibe – 70
The England youngster showed promise at times in last season’s campaign, and has been tipped as an automatic replacement for Sterling – and whilst such hopes seem fanciful, there is no doubt that given time Ibe could be a star of the future. Ibe should receive a decent upgrade for FIFA 16, however.

ST – Daniel Sturridge – 83
Injuries kept Sturridge away from the first team for the majority of the 2014-15 season. It must be said that Liverpool are a far more clinical team with him in the team and for that Sturridge should keep his rating heading into FIFA 16. When fitness is restored he will be a vital asset for Liverpool to have.

ST – Christian Benteke – 81
April’s Premier League Player of the Month did not truly come into form until the 2nd half of the season, but when he did find his touch Benteke fired Aston Villa away from the relegation zone, and into an FA Cup final. He is a definite improvement to the Liverpool strike force, and should be gaining an upgrade for 2015-16.

ST – Mario Balotelli – 80
Balotelli suffered immensely in his first season at Liverpool and whilst the play was not ideal for strikers it must be said that the Italian did poorly given the chances he was given. A downgrade is a certainty, and Balotelli must harness the talent that he possesses if he is to return to the higher scores of the 80s that he once held.

ST – Divock Origi – 76
Origi’s spell on loan at Lille should see him return to Liverpool as a substitute striker, but his ability has been seen in performances last year and will see him gain a marginal upgrade. Will most likely compete with Danny Ings for the spot as a reserve striker, as one will likely go out on loan.

ST – Danny Ings – 74
Danny Ings had a good season at Burnley, despite a goalless run towards the end of the season negatively affecting his form in front of goal. With more able and talented team mates Ings should be able to compete to a higher level and should make the most of his opportunities at the club – which is why the player should be the recipient of an upgrade to match it.

The Spanish League has provided the Champions League winners for the last two seasons and boasts two of the best team in world football, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Whilst it doesn’t pull in the TV audience that the Premier League manages it is still one of the most watched in the world and produces some of the world’s best footballers. As with the Premier League ratings, only first team contenders from the top clubs in Spain will be getting a prediction.

Here they are the FIFA 16 Liga BBVA Players Predictions.

FIFA 16 Barcelona Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Liga BBVA Players Predictions

With Barcelona winning an impressive treble, it is almost certain that the Catalan side will be the recipients of numerous upgrades for their players. In particular, the dominant trio of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi will be some of the highest rated attackers in the game.

GK – Claudio Bravo – 84
Barcelona’s keeper for the league had an impressive World Cup before he signed for Barcelona but added to that with a solid season at the back of the league’s best defence. Following a superb Copa America that saw the Chilean keeper win the tournament an upgrade should be in line for FIFA 16.

GK – Marc Andre ter Steigen – 83
One of many German keepers impressing in Europe, ter Steigen was solid all year for Barcelona in Europe and was an important part in Barcelona’s climb back to the top of European football. As a result he should also receive an upgrade, and another addition to the long line of talented German goalkeepers.

RB – Dani Alves – 84
Despite coming in for much criticism in previous seasons it appears as though the contract saga that ran along much of the season gave the Brazilian full back a boost in performance. Easily performed as one of the most dangerous full backs in Europe and a crucial part of the Barcelona defence, and should be in line for a return to his FIFA 14 rating.

LB – Jordi Alba – 82
Jordi Alba has emerged as a key part of the Barcelona defence since his return to Barcelona and the 2014-15 season only serves to highlight it. Alba is one of the few defenders who can use his immense speed consistently for the benefit of the defence and should get an upgrade to join the higher ranked full backs of the game.

LB – Adriano – 76
The Brazilian full back is a versatile option for Barcelona at any time, as he is able to slot in to the defence at any point – yet his lack of game time in the team this year prevent him from gaining an upgrade. By no means should he lose his rating though as he still has the ability to be in a top squad like Barcelona’s and he should retain his 76 rating for FIFA 16.

CB – Gerard Pique – 86
Pique is another Barca defender who has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism during his tenure at the Nou Camp – much of which is deserved. However this year he has easily been the best defender at the club, using his experience to guide the team to the treble. Pique has performed as one of the best CB’s in Europe this season and his rating should reflect that, moving him firmly into the ‘world class’ category of defenders.

CB/CDM – Javier Mascherano – 84
It is sad to see that a player so obviously gifted and effective at CDM is so often played next to Pique in the heart of the Barca defence. Mascherano consistently shows for Argentina why he is one of the best CDM’s in world football yet his shorter stature make him less affective at CB for the Catalans –though still deserving of an upgrade, Mascherano could have a far greater rating if played at CDM, hence why he only moves up one to 84.

CB – Jeremy Mathieu – 81
An impressive first season at Barcelona should see the Frenchman gain a small upgrade for FIFA 16. Did his job whenever asked upon and put in valuable performances for the team in the league that ultimately gave them their title.

CB – Thomas Vermaelen – 79
Vermaelen became a joke figure with his injuries restricting him to a single game at Barca and still claiming three trophies. His ability has suffered as a result of the problems he has had with fitness and will not be expected to reach the 80 ratings he held in FIFA’s past – yet should not be given a downgrade simply because of a lack of playing time. A season with actual game time involved will be a more accurate measure of Vermaelen’s ability as a defender.

CB – Marc Bartra – 77
Bartra has developed in the Barca side yet did not get much game time as a result of the stronger names on the team sheet ahead of him. Despite this it is clear that Bartra has a future ahead of him for Spain and Barcelona, and a marginal upgrade should reflect that going into FIFA 16.

RM – Aleix Vidal – 77
Though Vidal cannot play in competitive fixtures for Barcelona until January 2016 (similar to Luis Suarez’s ban last year) it is clear that his performances for Sevilla and Almeria before that have more than warranted an upgrade – the player an integral part of the Europa League campaign for Sevilla. The player has become one of the most sought out buys of La Liga and Barcelona have a very talented squad player at their disposal for the new year.

RM/CAM – Arda Turan – 85
Turan is one of the most technically gifted players in the league, only given less recognition because of the likes of Iniesta and Isco who occupy a similar sort of position to the Turk. Years of consistency at Atletico Madrid have seen him earn a move to Barcelona, and a rating boost should accompany him for FIFA 16.

CM – Andres Iniesta – 88
Moments of magic like in the Champions League final will make any downgrade given to Iniesta appear a harsh one, and the love that Iniesta receives as one of the best players of the 21st century is still strong amongst football fans today. However Iniesta’s form has sadly declined with his increasing age – he no longer has such prominent levels of influence in the Barca team and did not play as many games as he once did for Barcelona last season. He should receive a small downgrade – though not a major one as his Champions League final performance shows he still has his world class vision and passing.

CDM – Sergio Busquets – 86
Busquets is without a doubt one of the most important parts of the Barcelona team, with his deeper CDM role allowing the world class talent in front of him to operate. He has moved past the diving incidents of the past and is now a major part of the side – which should see an upgrade head his way for 2015.

CAM – Ivan Rakitic – 85
One of the most underrated players in the Barcelona squad has to be Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who has been one of Barcelona’s most effective performers since his move to the Nou Camp last year. A goal in the Champions League final capped off a highly impressive year, and Rakitic’s rating for next season should see him put on the cusp of the best midfielders on the planet as his performances last year showed.

CAM – Rafinha – 80
Rafinha is one of many promising young Brazilians coming through at a major European club. His season at Barcelona may not have contained many outstanding moments as his play time was limited but when given play time Rafinha was a useful asset for manager Luis Enrique to use. A +2 upgrade is generous, but it is possible having seen the talent that he has at his disposal.

CDM – Alex Song – 80
It is unknown where Song will be for the 2015-16 season but regardless his talent will be appreciated at which ever club the Cameroonian joins next. His role in elevating West Ham to the top 6 for much of the season was crucial and should be recognised with a boost in his rating to the 80+ region.

RW/ST – Lionel Messi – 94
Since he was shifted out to the right wing Messi has found the form that earnt him the title of ‘best player in the world’. Messi has sacrificed scoring some of his goals to open up a new vision and element to his game at right wing, and has formed a lethal trio with teammates Neymar and Luis Suarez. His complete transformation in form compared to Ronaldo’s slump in form is one of the factors key in Barcelona outperforming Madrid in all three competitions and regardless of what you make think of him deserves a return to his FIFA 14 rating of 94.

LW – Neymar – 88
Neymar finished the 2014-15 season as Champions League top scorer, and 2nd top scorer at the club behind Messi. The Brazilian has accelerated away from the criticism calling him a ‘YouTube footballer’ and is now easily one of the best players in the league. His bond with Messi and Suarez is key to the club’s success and Neymar will certainly get a rating to put him firmly into the ‘world class’ players.

LW – Pedro – 83
Pedro is still a very talented footballer, despite his lack of game time behind the trio, hence why Manchester United are so eager to get him. His touch and ball control are of the quality that Barcelona have been universally recognised for and he should not fall in rating for FIFA 16.

ST – Luis Suarez – 90
Suarez is without doubt one of the best dribblers of the ball and his talent and ability has been fully recognised with a superb 2015 at Barcelona. Neymar and Messi are an improvement on the service he received at Liverpool in 2015 and the Uruguayan can push himself into the very top level of striker for FIFA 16 with a 90 rating.

FIFA 16 Real Madrid Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Liga BBVA Players Predictions

A season has gone by without Real Madrid winning a trophy, which has raised question marks over many of the players at the club. Performances have varied throughout the squad, making the ratings at Real Madrid one of the most interesting to review.

GK – Kiko Casilla – 81
Casilla enjoyed a successful season with Espanyol, being one of the best players in a solid season that saw the Catalan side finish 10th in the league – there is a reason he has signed for Real Madrid. The player is set for an upgrade for next season as most players do when moving to a bigger club – yet his ability and talent should not be ignored as a result of the move.

GK – Keylor Navas – 81
Navas has been a solid goalkeeper for a good number of years and the player should see a boost up into the 80+ region and the rare gold category. Whilst both he and Casilla may yet end up behind De Gea at the club, Navas’s form for Costa Rica and when selected for Madrid should not be ignored and an upgrade should be on its way.

RB – Danilo – 81
One of Porto’s most consistent performers for many years, Danilo has earnt a move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe and will definitely be receiving an upgrade for it. The Brazilian is a top signing for Madrid and his rating will likely reflect that next year at the Bernebau.

RB – Dani Carvajal – 81
Carvajal was one of the shining stars of an otherwise poor Real Madrid defence last year and his rating for FIFA 16 should reflect that, with a marginal upgrade for the Spaniard hopefully on the way. With a positive season for the side only marred by a potential biting incident in the Champions League Madrid and Carvajal will hope that his form continues into 2015-16.

RB – Alvaro Arbeloa – 78
Arbeloa’s form has not shown any signs of improving over the last few years and it is no surprise that the player is tipped to leave Madrid at any point in the near future. A downgrade is expected for the Spaniard and it is quite clear the other two right backs at the club will likely overtake him with playing time.

LB – Marcelo – 83
Marcelo was one of the most influential attacking players at Real Madrid despite the attacking talent the sides boast and despite a poor World Cup has looked a far better full back since the debacle in Brazil. He, like Dani Alves, should receive a return to his FIFA 14 rating of 83 and recognition for the flair and ability that he has in his feet – and will surely stand out yet again as the best LB at Real Madrid.

LB – Fabio Coentrao – 80
Coentrao is not a bad defender and is a very useful deputy for Marcelo when required – and his rating should reflect that in FIFA 16. His form for both Portugal and Real Madrid is usually consistent and should see a boost in rating up to 80 for next season.

CB – Sergio Ramos – 85
Ramos had a poor season defensively in 2014, overshadowed by his crucial goal in the Champions League final but highlighted at in the World Cup with the disastrous 5-1 loss to the Netherlands. However this year there can be no excuses for his form – abysmal performances in the knockout stage as well as the usual recklessness that follows him around the league campaign cost Madrid dearly as they shipped 17 more goals than their Catalan rivals in the league. The Champions League semi-finals against Juventus are easily the low point of his campaign though – his performance so poor it cost Madrid a space in the final. All this adds up to a deserved downgrade for the Madrid captain, and a lot of work to do if he is to rediscover his form for the new season.

CB – Pepe – 81
Pepe is already known as a rugged defender across the world but has retained a small element of defensive competence through some of the years during his tenure at Madrid – yet as with Ramos his recklessness was one of the primary factors the Madrid defence was so poor for most of the season. A downgrade should be on the way to Pepe.

CB – Raphael Varane – 81
Varane is one of the most coveted young defenders in Europe, though his form in 2015-16 did not always reflect this. He is a very talented defender and sought out by managers such as Jose Mourinho – which clearly show that he has a lot of talent. However, he should not receive an upgrade for a lack of improvement in the side, and will hopefully improve from this year going into the new season.

CM – Luka Modric – 87
Modric’s injury in 2014-15 was one of the main factors in the defensive problems that plagued Madrid in many of their games. The Croatian midfielder is one of the most versatile in the world and despite his injury should keep his rating for next year – where if he manages to stay fit should keep his rating for FIFA 16.

CAM – James Rodriguez – 85
There is no doubt that Rodriguez is a very talented footballer and had a very attractive rating of 86 this season, but to hold such a high rating and perform as he did last season is not enough to keep it. He should be reduced to an 85 – still a very high rating – and will need to do more with the ball in the team to get his rating higher.

CM – Toni Kroos – 85
One of the world’s best midfielders in 2014, Kroos did not always reflect on this fact in the 2nd half of the 2014-15 season. His talent should be enough to keep him at an 85 rating but Kroos has to perform to a higher level in 2015-16 if he is to retain a high rating going forward.

CAM – Isco – 85
Isco is one of the most promising midfielders in world football and has earnt comparisons with France legend Zinedine Zidane – so it is no surprise that an upgrade is predicted to be heading the Spaniards way. Along with Marcelo Isco was the source of much of the attacking output during Madrid’s worst form and his rating for FIFA 16 should recognise that.

CM – Asier Illaramendi – 79
Illaramendi’s rating is a tough one to predict. Whilst the Spaniard is clearly talented and possesses great ability he did not play well during the 2014-15 season and has not done enough to warrant an upgrade. He has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid and perhaps a stint at a club away from Spain (possibly Liverpool) will help him find his form from his Sociedad days.

RW – Gareth Bale – 87
Bale received the harshest of any criticism bar Casillas at Madrid last season – some of which was warranted – but perhaps if the critics turned to some of his teammates rather than focusing on the Welshman all the time the team could have progressed. It was by no means a successful season but one only has to look at the impact Bale has had in the European qualifying to see that he clearly has a lot of talent and is still one of the best attackers around on his day. It is too easy to single out Bale when Ronaldo, Rodriguez and Kroos were all just all poor at times last season, and he should keep his rating.

LW/ST – Cristiano Ronaldo – 92
It is seasons like this that separate Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as players in my opinion. Whilst the Argentine adapted to his new role at RW, reinvented himself to accommodate his teammates and formed the unstoppable trio with his South American team mates, Ronaldo littered his season with episodes and arguments – arguing with Bale for ‘not passing to him enough’, having tantrums when failing to score, ignoring his teammates to try and shoot and then missing himself. In addition to this Ronaldo had little to no impact in the Champions Leagues latter stages, easily phased out of the game by a Juventus backline and really any team with a competent set of defenders. Whilst Messi was making Bayern look like amateurs Ronaldo drifted around the wings, waiting for something to happen.

Ronaldo is, of course, one of the best footballers in the world – but to be a Ballon D’Or winner you have to be the best in the world – making the biggest impact in the biggest games. And it is all very well scoring 5 past teams like Granada but to win trophies you have to score in the big games, which Ronaldo did not manage. He shouldn’t lose his rating as he is still the leading goal scorer of Europe – but the season has shown why Messi should be a higher rated player for FIFA 16, and what Ronaldo will have to do if he is to reach those heights.

ST – Karim Benzema – 86
Benzema has gone along time at Real Madrid without fully getting the respect and plaudits that he deserves, and with top clubs across Europe seeking his services it is high time FIFA give him an upgrade for FIFA 16. He is an accomplished striker and will score if given the service, as he has done for Madrid. Should be in line for an upgrade going into FIFA 16.

FIFA 16 Atlético de Madrid Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Liga BBVA Players Predictions

A season that, whilst not as successful as the 2013-14 campaign, still earnt them a 3rd place La Liga finish and a Champions League quarter final. Despite losing Miranda and Turan the side will still have a strong side to challenge in 2015-16, and their FIFA ratings should reflect that.

GK – Miguel Angel Moya – 81
Moya had an impressive season in his first year at Atletico and his rating should be upgraded to match that. He is another Spanish goalkeeper who has the misfortune of having such quality ahead of him in the national team as he could easily play for a decent national XI.

GK – Jan Oblak – 80
Oblak impressed in the Champions League, particularly against Real Madrid, and has been a solid replacement for Thibaut Courtois since the Belgian returned to Chelsea. Oblak should be in line for a decent upgrade and a boost up to the 80+ section, as he is a very decent goalkeeper.

RB – Juanfran – 81
Juanfran has been one of the most consistent performers at Atletico for a while and his rating in FIFA 16 should reflect that. His loyalty to the club amidst bids from across Europe will be much appreciated in Madrid as his ability is up there with the best full backs in world football – if not recognized by as many as others are.

RB – Jesus Gamez – 78
As a deputy full back Gamez has done the job required for Atletico and should not lose his rating. His lack of game time when compared to others around him is what prevents him from getting a higher rating – he should remain at 78.

LB – Guilherme Siqueira – 78
The Brazilian fullback is heavily linked with Juventus, and for good reason as Siqueira was a solid performer for Atletico in 2014-15. His ability is underrated by many – even so, it should see him receive a boost up to 78 for FIFA 16.

LB – Filipe Luis – 82
At Chelsea Luis did not see much first team action thanks to the solid form of Cesar Azpilicueta, but a season on the sidelines should not detract from how useful a player Luis is when deployed in the side. A key part of the 2013-14 side for Atletico, he should retain his rating for next season.

CB – Diego Godin – 85
With Miranda now sold to Inter Milan, the role of Diego Godin at the club is more important than ever for 2015-16. He has been a truly excellent CB for the Spanish side for the majority of his tenure at the club and his leadership at the back will be vital if Atletico are to hit the same heights of the 2015-16 season again.

CB – Stefan Savic – 80
A highly successful season with Fiorentina should see Savic boost his rating up to 80 for FIFA 16. His form was one of the main factors in the Italian side’s run to the Europa League semi-finals, and will be a key player in the Madrid defence for next season.

CB – Jose Gimenez – 75
Gimenez is one of the young stars of the future and the 2014-15 season at Atletico proved that, with solid defensive performances throughout the campaign. He should make the step up to a Gold card next season and should be able to develop his skills in the Madrid team throughout their campaign.

CAM – Koke – 84
Koke is one of the most highly coveted young players in Europe at the moment, with many major teams linked with him and Atletico fighting in recent years to keep Koke at the club. His ability has been known for years and it is surely time the Spaniard receives a major boost to the 84 region for next FIFA.

CM – Raul Garcia – 81
Raul Garcia has performed exceptionally well for Atletico for a number of years now and an upgrade should surely be on its way for FIFA 16. One of the highest scoring midfielders in the league, Garcia has performed above the rating he currently has and is likely to be the recipient of a major boost next year.

CDM – Gabi Alonso – 83
Gabi is one of the most reliable midfielders in La Liga not playing for Barcelona or Real Madrid, and his rating should reflect that for FIFA 15. He has commanded the Atletico defence for years and deserves a rare card and a boost in rating.

CM – Tiago – 82
Tiago’s consistency in the middle of the pitch for Atletico is one of the reasons their team is considered to be so well drilled and organized, and his ability is always used well in the middle of the field. His rating should receive a boost as with the other midfielders at the club, and his card should be made rare.

ST – Antoine Greizmann – 85
Greizmann has emerged as a major goal threat for Atletico, with 22 coming from 37 games in 2014-15, and a major upgrade should be heading his way. He has proven that he can be effective up front and should receive a position change to striker, and a major boost up to the mid-high 80s next FIFA. Potentially hitting the high of his career too at 24, the future looks bright for Greizmann.

ST – Jackson Martinez – 83
Martinez’s move to the Liga BBVA should be enough to get EA’s attention and give the Colombian a deserved upgrade – at Porto his form was excellent but the Portuguese League suffers from ignorance relating to ratings and in forms and their players often do not receive upgrades. Martinez will surely grow into his new role at Madrid and become a key player.

ST – Fernando Torres – 80
Torres will probably never return to the form that he had during his first stint at Atletico, but his experience and loyalty to the club cannot be found in many other players. Having said that, it is clear that his ability as a striker is declining and a downgrade for FIFA 16 should reflect on that fact.

FIFA 16 Valencia Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Liga BBVA Players Predictions

Years of financial instability have come to a halt, and for the first time since 2012 Valencia have qualified for the Champions League. This should see a number of players gain upgrades in time for the new season, where they should be able to compete in La Liga as some of the league’s best.

GK – Diego Alves – 83
There is no doubt that Alves is a top goalkeeper and has been crucial in raising Valencia up the table and back into the Champions League. His card should receive a decent upgrade to match his form as well, and he should be considered as one of the best goal keepers in the league as a result.

RB – Joao Cancelo – 72
Cancelo enjoyed a solid, if brief, stint on loan at Valencia last year and his permanent deal to Spain should see him build on that form. With Pereira sold Cancelo will no doubt be a good choice if main full back Barragan is unavailable.

RB – Barragan – 77
A solid season with Valencia should see Barragan move his rating up to the Gold standard in FIFA 16. Barragan has been a solid performer at the club in his tenure there and a hefty upgrade is surely on its way for the Spaniard.

LB – Gaya – 78
Gaya is a defender tipped to be one of the best worldwide in the future and his continued success at Valencia is certainly a major stepping stone to arriving at that level. Gaya should be able to boost himself well into the Gold category and make himself well known on the European stage in the Champions League next year – and should be given a rating that matches his ability seen at the club.

LB – Lucas Orban – 75
Orban was a more than adequate stand in for Gaya in 2014-15, with solid performances against Real Madrid being hugely appreciated by the Valencia fans. As a result the Argentine should also be on the receiving end of a major boost for FIFA 16, and will be expected to continue his newly found form.

CB – Shkodran Mustafi – 80
The German international had a solid season at Valencia in 2014-15 and should receive a major upgrade and a rare card for FIFA 16 as a result. He has been a major player at the CB role for both Germany and Valencia and should have a rating that gives him more credit for it.

RM – Sofiane Feghouli – 82
Feghouli is a strong option for Valencia at any time in a game, and his rating next year should reflect that – a minor boost would see him reach 82, a much fairer rating given how well the Algerian can perform for the side. He is part of an Algerian side looking stronger than ever, and will hopefully take that form to the Valencia side in 2015-16.

LM – Rodrigo De Paul – 76
A strong first season with Valencia should see De Paul become Gold in yet another upgrade for a silver player. Like Feghouli he represents another member of an ever improving Argentinian side – kept out of the team by the many talents that Argentina have going forward – and will hope to push himself more in 2016 for Valencia.

CM – Enzo Perez – 82
Solid form at Benfica earnt Perez a move to La Liga in January, and whilst his performances at Valencia were not exceptional his form in the Portuguese League make it clear that Perez is a very decent player to have in the team. Should receive a boost up to 82 to reflect on the form he showed at Benfica.

CM – Dani Parejo – 83
Parejo had a strong season at Valencia, with 12 goals and 5 assists being crucial in firing Valencia into the top 4. The Valencia captain will surely receive a substantial upgrade to put himself into the higher class of midfielders, as his passing and technical skill should not be ignored in the Valencia team.

CDM – Javi Fuego – 79
Fuego has proven to be a solid option for Valencia to stabilize the defence, and is very affective when deployed behind Perez and Parejo. He should receive a small boost up a rating to reflect on this for FIFA 16.

CM – Andre Gomes – 78
A young prospect in the making, Gomes has shown that he has what it takes to be a top midfielder in the future, and the latest in the long line of talented midfielders being developed in La Liga. He should receive a substantial upgrade for FIFA 16 as his technical ability already shows he can play at a high level for Valencia.

LW – Pablo Piatti – 81
Piatti is yet another talented attacker developing his skill at Valencia, and his technical ability at the club will surely be appreciated in a Champions League campaign at the club. A minor boost up to 81 should be heading the Argentine’s way for FIFA 16.

ST – Paco Alcacer – 81
Paco Alcacer was top scorer at Valencia last year with 14 goals in all competitions, and his ability up front will surely be key in keeping Valencia in the top 4 for 2014-15. At 21 Alcacer has a promising future ahead of him and an upgrade will likely be heading towards the Spaniard.

ST – Rodrigo – 80
Rodrigo did not hit the same goal scoring heights that he found at Benfica, and unlike Perez who had a good first half and an average second half, Rodrigo did not play to the level seen at the Portuguese club. He should keep his rating though and will be expected to play to a higher standard in 2015-16.

ST – Alvaro Negredo – 83
The former Man City striker did not find the goalscoring form that has accompanied him in previous years, and it has not helped that he has been behind both Alcacer and Rodrigo in the first team – so he should not receive an upgrade. However the form of previous seasons should not see him downgraded – his ability to find the net still remains and having three quality strikers at the club for the Champions League will no doubt help the squad.

FIFA 16 Sevilla Players Predictions

FIFA 16 Liga BBVA Players Predictions

Despite finishing outside the top 4 in La Liga Sevilla enjoyed a successful campaign by lifting the Europa League in May. As a result they still qualify for the Champions League for 2015-16, and many of their players will be expected to receive upgrades for FIFA 16.

GK – Beto – 82
Beto was shortlisted for the goalkeeper of the year, and when you find yourself along names such as Manuel Neuer and Thibaut Courtois there must be something special about your performances. Despite being sidelined for much of the year Beto is still a top goalkeeper and should receive an upgrade and a boost in rating for FIFA 16.

GK – Sergio Rico – 75
Last year Sergio Rico did not even have a card in Ultimate Team – but his elevation to the first team following the injury to Beto displayed his goalkeeping ability. He should be in line for a major upgrade for FIFA 16, as his performances in goal for Sevilla were a major factor in the Europa League triumph.

RB – Coke – 79
A solid season at right back for the Spanish defender should see him gain an upgrade. Despite being sidelined for Aleix during periods in 2014-15 there is no doubt that Coke is a decent defender and deserving of an upgrade.

RB – Mariano – 75
Mariano has improved his game at Bordeaux and will be a much welcomed addition to the Sevilla squad in the Champions League next season. He will provide depth in squad for when the new campaign starts and should have a rating to put him into the Gold rank of players.

LB – Benoit Tremoulinas – 79
Tremoulinas played a key part in the Europa League campaign and should have a boost in rating to reflect that. The French fullback was defensively solid for Sevilla and such ability at the back deserves a higher rating and probably a rare card to complement it.

CB – Adil Rami – 79
Rami endured a tough time in the heart of a struggling Milan defence, and in all reality could potentially face a downgrade for FIFA 16 – yet watching Milan’s performances show that he was easily one of their better performers of recent years. Should do much better in a more assured back line and as a result should keep his rating.

CB – Nicolas Pareja – 80
Pareja performed to a high level up until his injury towards the end of the season at Sevilla, and were it not for his injury would have easily made the starting eleven in the final of the Europa League – as a result he should be looking at an upgrade for FIFA 16 to put him into the 80+ zone of defenders.

CB – Daniel Carrico – 80
Carrico’s experience in the Europa League is rivalled by few others, and was one of the major factors in their eventual victory in the competition. He should be looking at a boost up to 80 for his role in the Sevilla team, and will likely join Pareja on an 80 rating next season.

RM – Jose Antonio Reyes – 78
Whilst nowhere near the same player he was when he played for Arsenal Reyes still holds much of the technical ability that he had during his younger years, and his role in the Europa League win should still be taken seriously. He is a talented veteran of the sport and will likely be the recipient of a small upgrade for his work in the team.

LM – Vitolo – 81
The Spaniard was one of the best players at Sevilla last season and should receive a major upgrade to reflect on that fact. His pace and accuracy with his feet are key in the attack for his team and will no doubt impress in the Champions League next year – and his rating should reflect on that with a +4 potentially going into FIFA 16.

CM – Ever Banega – 82
Banega was yet another key player in Sevilla’s season, with his performances even including a man of the match in the final of the Europa League. He should be given a substantial boost up to 82 to reflect on his excellent passing and ball control, and will be a key component in the Sevilla team for 2015-16.

CDM – Gregorz Krychowiak – 82
Whilst teams like Real Madrid struggled without a proper CDM for much of the season, players like Krychowiak show just how important a talented player in the role can be. The Pole was crucial in the Europa League victory and should receive a major upgrade to complement that, and his deep lying role for Sevilla will be extremely hard to replicate overall.

CDM – Vincente Iborra – 79
Iborra had an average season with Sevilla, not being a major part of the team yet still doing his job when required. Whilst he by no means deserves a downgrade he will not be joining his colleagues in midfield and rise above the 80 rating.

CDM – Steven N’Zonzi – 77
A 6 year stint in the Premier League has come to an end, and N’Zonzi’s consistency in the heart of Stoke’s defence should see him gain an upgrade in time for FIFA 16. He will bring great squad depth to the Sevilla squad for next season, and if he matches his performances in the Premier League for Stoke Sevilla will have a very good player to rely on when their squad is running thin.

CM – Michael Krohn-Dehli – 77
The veteran Dane has long been a solid performer for Celta Vigo and now he gets the chance to perform in the Champions League around better players for Sevilla. He should get an upgrade as he definitely has the talent to make it into the team, and will be a much appreciated part of the team for 2015-16. Consequently, Krohn-Dehli should get a decent boost up to 77, and firmly into the Gold ranking rather than just on the cusp as he currently is.

ST – Ciro Immobile – 79
A disappointing year with Dortmund has seen the Italian striker shipped out on loan to Spain, where he will be expected to rediscover the form that earnt him an 80 rating. Nevertheless his poor performances for the German side should see him lose a rating and fall back down to 79 in FIFA 16.

ST – Kevin Gameiro – 81
Gameiro had an impressive season with Sevilla and is expected to lead the line going into the new season with Carlos Bacca sold to Milan. If he can find the form he held in the Europa League there may not be too much of a problem, and his rating should go up to reflect on the solid season Gameiro had for the club.

FIFA 16 MOTM Cards

Introduction

The MOTM cards were created in FUT 12 to reward the best players of matches not covered by the TOTW cards. It is the case of the UEFA club competitions final stages, domestic cups finals and International National Teams finals.

An orange card is assigned to the best players of these matches, according to EA Sports. They become available in packs for only 24 hours. During this period, the Man of the Match cards replace the corresponding regular cards. In other words, in the day a player gets his MOTM cards in packs, it is impossible to find his regular card there. Your odds of pulling a MOTM card from a pack are exactly the same of pulling the regular card of that player in another day.

If you own the regular card of a player elected MOTM, your card will keep unchanged. If you want the improved version, you will need to buy the corresponding MOTM version in the market or pull it from a pack in that day.

FUT 16 MOTM Card

Ratings and Stats

The ratings and attributes of MOTM cards are usually boosted in one or two points, compared with their last TOTW card or, if it doesn’t exist, their regular cards.

The position of the players in these cards may change if, in that match, they played really well in a different position.

Availability

These cards don’t have any periodicity. Usually they are released between March and September, because it is when the tournaments are coming to the end or when domestic Cup finals take place, with predominance for weekdays. Most of the times, when a player perform well in a Saturday or Sunday match, he only gets his MOTM card in the Monday, because EA Sports doesn’t have a team working on this during the weekends.

Each MOTM card is released only a few hours after the match ends, always at midnight (UK time). It is not possible to have more than one MOTM card for the same game.

It is possible for a player to have more than one MOTM card, if they have been assigned in different games. These cards differ from each other only in the ratings and attributes (eventually in the position too). The more recent is the card, the higher is its rating.

You can have the regular card and the MOTM card of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them both in your squad at the same time.

The MOTM cards are the most unpredictable of all. If you usually don’t pay attention to what is happening, you may not give for them, because they come in packs for only 24 hours and almost always associated with Happy Hours.

FIFA 16 TOTW Cards

Introduction

Since FUT 10, every week EA Sports selects eighteen players of any category based on their good real performances on the previous week and joined them in a single team. That team is called Team of the Week and you can play against them in the ‘TOTW Challenge’.

To each one of the players of this team, it is assigned a new black card which becomes available in packs for a week, replacing the corresponding regular card. In other words, in the week a player gets his TOTW cards in packs, it is impossible to find his regular card there. Your odds of pulling a TOTW card from a pack are exactly the same of pulling the regular card of that player in another week.

If you own the regular card of a TOTW player, your card will keep unchanged. If you want the improved version, you will need to buy the corresponding TOTW version in the market or cross your fingers when opening a pack in that week.

FUT 16 TOTW Cards (Gold, Silver and Bronze)

Ratings and Stats

The ratings and attributes of TOTW cards are usually boosted in one, two or three points. The position of the players in these cards may change if, in the previous week, they played really well in a different position.

It is possible to a player to have more than one TOTW card, if they have been assigned in different weeks. These cards differ from each other only in the ratings and attributes (eventually in the position too). The more recent is the card, the higher is its rating. The same is to say, for a player gets a second TOTW card, he must play better than when he got the first one because the rating is higher now. That’s why in the first TOTWs, the improvements are only one or two points.

You can have the regular card and the TOTW card of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them both in your squad at the same time.

The rating boost is always relative to the most recent TOTW card, no matter if the player moved to another club or if he was upgraded.

It is possible to a player to get a TOTW card of another category. The only thing that he needs is to have received another TOTW card with the maximum rating of his regular card category. For example: if a player is a 72 and his TOTW is a 74, the second TOTW card may be gold instead of silver.

Availability

Each Team of the Week is announced at Wednesday at 3pm (UK time) and the cards are released in packs in the same day three hours later, at 6pm. In FUT 16 it will be released 52 TOTW. The first one at September 16th and the last one year later. You can see all the TOTW clicking here.

Usually, the TOTW players selection is based in the domestic leagues represented in the game. In extraordinary situations, like when these leagues are interrupted, players who have played well for their national teams can also be selected.

By being permanently in packs, the TOTW cards are the In Form cards that make the better connection between real football and the game.

FIFA 16 TOTY Cards

Introduction

Every year since FUT 12, in early January, EA Sports build a team of players based on their real performance on the previous year. The players of this TOTY are selected from the voting of FIFPro, the world wide professional footballers association, and announced in the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala. They are supposed to be the best players in the world.

The market has a tendency to anticipate the TOTY weeks before its release

They are upgraded with a blue TOTY card which becomes available in packs for a week (two days for each position and a final day with all players together). In the week a player gets his TOTY card in packs, it is impossible to find his regular card there. Your odds of pulling a TOTY card from a pack are exactly the same of pulling the regular card of that player in another week.

If you own the regular card of a TOTY player, your card will keep unchanged. If you want the improved version, you will need to buy the corresponding TOTY version in the market or pull it from a pack.

Ratings and Stats

The players ratings and stats of TOTY cards are usually boosted in six or seven points. The attributes have a similar increase but it doesn’t mean that all attributes have to be improved.

The position of the players in these cards may change if, in the previous year, they played really well in a new position.

Availability

The Team of the Year is released once per year. It means that these very special blue cards are assigned only to eleven players (one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards), that can be of any league and category. It is only made a distinction between the four lines, not between each position. For example, instead of having full backs, this team can have four centre backs. Usually they are all gold and play in the BBVA, Barclays and Bundesliga.

In FIFA 16, TOTY cards are announced on the Ballon D’Or Gala at 5:30pm (UK time) and released in packs at 8pm. You can get a TOTY card in any gold packs with rare players cards.

These IF cards will be available into packs on the following days:

You can have the regular card and the TOTY card of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them both in your squad at the same time.

Excepting the Pro Players and the Record Breaker cards, these ones are usually the most expensive cards of the whole FUT 16.

Pro Players cards are the most unknown ones of FIFA 16 Ultimate Team. Let’s learn something more about these cards.

Pro Players Cards

Pro Players cards are assigned by EA Sports to professional football players that play FUT 16 in a bid to make friends and gain exposure. When EA Sports have an existing relationship with a player and knows that he play FUT, they offer his Pro card to him. They also send Pro Players cards to famous players who ask them for it.

.

These cards were introduced in FIFA 12 and Liverpool’s Jose Enrique was probably the first professional player to use it. He owned a heavily improved black card that appeared similar to a Team of the Week release. But it wasn’t. Just like with him, also the Joey Barton’ card was sold by a fortune in the transfer market. Because of that, in FIFA 14 EA Sports made these cards “non-transferable”.

Each professional player chosen by EA has his own Pro Player card. This cyan card is unique and cannot be sold. That is, you will not find them in packs neither in the transfer market (as it happened in the past). If you play against someone with one of these cards that’s because you are playing against a real professional football player.

To all these cards were assigned a 95 rating and unrealistically high attributes, that usually are greater than 88.

FIFA 16 FUTTIES Pink Cards

Introduction

Pink cards were released for the first time ever in Ultimate Team history for FIFA 15 Ultimate Team. These cards work exactly the same way of TOTW do but they have a different colour. They are supposed to be more expensive because they are different but in the pitch they play as TOTW players play.

EA Sports and RED Apple have partnered up and released a new exclusive players pack for 50k and a limited-time tournament with a pink Marquez as prize. All the proceeds went to (RED)’s fight against AIDS. This card was an exclusive for FIFA 15 on iOS and Android devices.

On consoles, the pink cards were assigned to FUTTIES, the special award in-forms chosen by the FIFA community. The ten players with more votes, for each one of the award categories, get one of these cards.

Ratings and Stats

The ratings and attributes of FUTTIES cards are usually boosted in one or two points from the best card amon his regular, MOTM or TOTW version.

The position of the players in these cards may change if during the season they played really well in a different position.

It is not possible to a player to have more than one pink card because they only get one nomination.

You can have the regular card and the FUTTIES card of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them both in your squad at the same time.

Availability

The FUTTIES are announced all at once. In FIFA 16, the estimated date is July 6th 2016, at 3pm (UK time). The cards are released in packs in the same day three hours later, at 6pm.

Here they are the FUTTIES categories:

Best FIFA 16 Players Review

FIFA 16 is almost here and the announcement of the top 50 players by ratings is our final countdown until the demo is out. If you’re already a FUT veteran, you know by now that rating isn’t everything. But if this is your first year playing Ultimate Team, be advised that there are way more important numbers out there than the one highlighted on the card above the player, beside his position. To help you start off on the right foot this season, I made an analysis of the main cards announced by EA.

I reckon it’s important to say this in advance: rating is the least important criterion for your squad’s performance. Other parameters are fundamental for when you want to build your squad, but not this one. If you don’t know the meaning of this term and others that I’m about to mention, I’ve listed below the main ones for today’s article.

Best FIFA 16 Players Review

James is one of the best FIFA 16 players

Criteria:

1- Rating
Expression used to refer to both Squad Rating and Overall Rating. For squad it varies between 1 and 100, it’s the representation of an average that takes into account all the starting eleven and the substitutes’ individual ratings (Overall Ratings). In some tournaments it’s a requirement..

2- Positions
GK: Stands for Goalkeeper. CB: Stands for Centre Back. LB: Stands for Left Back. LWB: Stands for Left Wing Back. RB: Stands for Right Back. RWB: Stands for Right Wing Back. LM: Stands for Left Midfield. LW: Stands for Left Wing. LF: Stands for Left Forward. RM: Stands for Right Midfield. RW: Stands for Right Wing. RF: Stand for Right Forward. CDM: Stands for Central Defensive Midfield. CM: Stands for Central Midfield. CAM: Stands for Central Attacking Midfield. ST: Stands for Striker. CF: Stands for Centre Forward.

3- Work rate
How frequent a player attacks and defends, or how he tends to participate in the team’s offensive or defensive plays. Every player has work rates for both attacking and defending, and they can be high (H), medium (M) or low (L).

4- Skill moves
An index that measures a player’s ability for when it comes to performing determined skill moves. It goes from one star (least complex) to 5 stars (most complex), which is attributed to all skill moves available. Players with five star skill moves, like Ronaldo and Neymar, are able to perform the most complex skill moves.

5- Weak foot
How equally well a player can shoot with both his feet. Every player has a preferred foot. Having 5 stars of weak foot means shooting equally well with both feet. Having only 1 star of weak foot means the player can only shoot with his preferred foot.

6- Basic Stats
You can find the best explanation available in the web here.

7- Winter upgrades
You can find the complete list by league here.

For further information on FUT terms, access the FUT dictionary. Now, here’s the best way to start FUT16: take a look at this extensive analysis of the top 50 players by rating. After all, is rating everything?

Even though De Gea received excellent stats on the most important attributes for the role, the German goalie continues to be the best one in the game. He hasn’t suffered any significant changes, therefore the title of best goalkeeper in the game remains still.

DE GEA

The “almost” Real Madrid goalkeeper is very popular among the FUT community. Despite the Reds’ bad last season, the Spanish goalkeeper’s good appearances earned him a rating upgrade along with better reflexes, handling, speed and positioning. His jumping stayed the same and kicking lost one point. With this he’ll surely get even more popular. And to think you “almost” got to use him in a BBVA squad…

Winning the EPL and the Capital One Cup with Chelsea last season had zero influence on the Belgium goalkeeper’s new card. Ctrl c + Ctrl v for him! As it seems we’ll see a battle between him and De Gea one more time for a spot in the BPL squad.

PETR CECH

After an entire season on the bench, the BPL veteran packed his bags to defend a different English club this season. His new card kept the same old 85 rating, plus the same basic attributes from FUT 15. Weird to say the least, since, as I said before, Courtois gave him no chance to perform, and the lack of appearances would be a plausible justification for a downgrade on both his overall rating and basic stats.

THIAGO SILVA

The former Brazilian national team captain is no longer the best centre back in the game. With his recent appearances, the few downgrades he received were expected, but then his rating, dribbling and passing were improved. For people who like building Ligue 1 or PSG squads, using the Brazilian double with high work rate for attacking can be quite risky.

BOATENG

As it seems, getting beaten by Messi in the UCL like that didn’t put him down for the next season. The German centre back received good upgrades, mainly on his defending attribute, although he lost one star for skill moves. He’ll continue to be an excellent option for hybrid and Bundesliga squads.

SERGIO RAMOS

Although the last season won’t leave him the best of memories, EA was kind enough to give him one more physicality point. With high work rate for attacking, his partner should have high for defending, otherwise we’ll see the same situation as the Brazilians’ at PSG.

CHIELLINI

After an outstanding season, the Italian centre back goes against the rule of age versus performance. With his low attacking work rate, he’ll contribute defensively even more. If you like using hybrid squads, I surely advise you to get this player. If it’s a Serie A squad he should be one of your first acquisitions, since he’s fast and presents stats above average (defeding and physicality, the main ones for a centre back). Chiellini had his card completely renewed for this season. He hasn’t got as much popularity as most of the top 50 rated players, but if you’re still wondering, here it is: -Yes, he is the best centre back in the game!

PIQUÉ

Having an effective contribution on Barcelona’s treble last season, the Spanish centre back didn’t face any major alterations. Although he gained one rating point, he lost two points on both pace and passing. Once again, it’s hard to understand EA.

NALDO

Having earned two IF’s in the 14-15 season plus a Bundesliga TOTS, these upgrades on rating, dribbling, defending, passing, physicality and shooting (the last one outstantingly) were expected for the Brazilian centre back. Despite all that, Naldo still lacks good physicality and has high work rate for attacking, which isn’t a very good thing. Apart from that, he’s a great option.

TERRY

Is there a limit for pace in this game? If there is, Terry must have hit it. The Blues’ captain received upgrades on every essential attribute for the position, although they were slight increases. In FUT15 it would be crazy to use him against pace abusers, but I did. And the result? What a beast! Of course, if you know how to use the full-backs and the partner’s speed.

EA’s scout must’ve paid close attention to him. That’s right, no forgiveness for any of the basic attributes. Total downgrade. Watch out, Ribéry! It was just a slight, basic downgrade, so the French is still a great alternative for assists.

SÁNCHEZ

Having earned 3 IF cards, 1 MOTM and 1 BPL TOTS, the Chilean gunner was one of the main players from last season. His excellent appearances earned him a few alterations. Alexis will play on the left midfield on FUT 16. The downgrades were still a bit questionable, though, given that he played very well for both his club and national team. I’d choose an upgrade on pace and shooting over rating. What about you? With high work rate for defending he’ll offer excellent counter attack options through the wings. In case you’re already thinking of the ideal BPL squad on FUT 16, here’s Hazard’s immediate substitute. Agree on that?

REUS

The man for the role on Bundesliga squads has faced two relevant alterations on his card. One, nice defending upgrade. Two, work rates. It’s a shame that he received just medium for attacking. You might see a performance change, especially if you like using him exclusively to attack. But still, his stats remain great for the position. I wouldn’t think of buying Ribéry over him.

A moment of silence. Here it is, the best attacking trio made of regular cards is complete. CSM for the La Liga. His position change wasn’t the only news. M10 earned one more star for his weak foot, which means that if he already wasn’t used to miss, imagine now. Only defending faced significant changes. Featuring a new rating, EA’s cover boy is the leader of overalls. CR7 or M10? Who fits your style? Does someone doubt the Argentinian will get his fifth Ballon D’Or?

De Bruyne would surely be the best for the position on FUT16 BPL squads, but now Silva gets another position change and shows off excellent attributes for the role (passing and dribbling), so let’s call it a day, or some days after FUT16 starts to decide who is the best. Popularity will be a cruel opponent for City’s midfielder against the young Belgian.

With his attacking work rate changing to medium, we can count on the German to reinforce our team’s first defence line. If you still had some hope left to see Lahm as a right-back, forget it. Although the main attributes for the position are a bit lower on his card than on Silva’s, KDB17 will be used by many because of the popularity he built in the Bundesliga. Due to his great appearances at Wolfsburg, De Bruyne earned several special cards on FUT15, and therefore well-deserved upgrades on his regular card for FUT16.

If he had been transferred, De Bruyne wouldn’t be at the top of the transfer market right now. The French is one of the most popular players in the game. He was Robben’s substitute for the main Bundesliga and Bayern squads last season. Two ST IF’s and one CF Bundesliga TOTS on FUT15; that plus the changes established by Guardiola indicated a position change for Muller. These were the top 50 players by rating. Starting FUT16 knowing that the best players for your play style aren’t always those on top of the overall list is essential for your club’s success. Having a squad with high rating doesn’t guarantee you victories. Playing games well and investing in the right players for your team are the main elements for a club that wants to reach division 1 and win tournaments along the season. FUT16 is here!

Sixteen Brazilian Teams Included into FIFA 16

Every year we ask our fans which new league they want to see in the new FIFA. And every year the answer is the same: we want Brazilian League back. They should be happy, not because the league will be included into FIFA 16, but because they will have the chance to play with 16 Brazilian teams.

EA Sports announced today that 16 Brazilian teams will be available in FIFA 16. At launch, the 16 Brazilian teams will appear with authentic crests and kits. Updated player names and visuals will need an online* update when and if available.

“We have worked to create the best possible experience for FIFA fans in Brazil and around the world to include Brazilian teams,” said Jonathan Harris, Brazil Manager, EA. “We know FIFA fans love playing with Brazilian players and teams across the game, so adding 16 clubs is positive news for all fans.”

All Brazilian teams in FIFA 16 are available in the Rest of the World team menu and will be playable in most game modes:

    Career Mode
Players on Brazilian clubs will be available in the transfer database for when fans want to acquire them for their campaign.
    FIFA Ultimate Team
Players on Brazilian Clubs will become available after fans accept and download the update that should be available in late September or first days of October. Brazilian players will make part of ROTW section but they will have good links only with the players of Brazilian league and not with other ROTW players as it is usual to be.

The Brazilian teams with authentic crests and club name are:

    Atlético-MG
    Atlético-PR
    Avaí
    Coritiba
    Chapecoense
    Cruzeiro
    Figueirense
    Fluminense
    Grêmio
    Internacional
    Joinville
    Ponte Preta
    Palmeiras
    Santos
    São Paulo
    Vasco da Gama

The Brazilian league will not be fully licensed in FIFA 16 because Flamengo and Corinthians have signed up to appear exclusively in PES 2016 and will be completely absent from FIFA 16. Sport and Goiás were not included in the new game too.

Ronaldinho is the player from Brazilian teams with highest rating. In average, the players from these 16 teams have a rating overall of 74.

FIFA 16 Record Breaker Cards

Introduction

It is extremely rare, but sometimes EA needs to create new cards that does not fit in any of the other cards types. These special cards are usually released for celebration or charity reasons.

If you own the regular card of a Record Breaker, your card will keep unchanged. If you want the improved version, you will need to buy the corresponding special version in the market or pull it from a pack in that day.

You can have the regular card and the RB card of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them both in your squad at the same time.

They are extremely rare and usually become available in packs only for 24 hours. That’s why it is not easy to find them in packs or in the market.>

FIFA 16 Legends Cards

Introduction

Legends were included in FUT 14 and they keep as an exclusive content for XBox One and XBox 360 gamers. The players of these cards are some retired greatest football players of all time.

Legends are only available for XBox One and XBox 360. They will not be added to other platforms during FUT 15.

The selection of the greatest legends of football has always been a controversial issue in the community. EA does not always choose the best players but this is justified by the necessity of licenses for each player, since they are no longer represented by any club. As the EA budget is limited, they do not always achieve the image usage rights of the true football legends.

These white cards work in a very similar way of regular cards but they are classified as In Form cards because they replicate the attributes based on players’ skills and flair during the peak of their careers. The ratings ranges between 86 and 95. As the game progresses, users can change many of the card features such as the preferred position and preferred chemistry style. However it is not possible to improve the rating or the stats in a permanent way.

The chemistry of legends are slightly different from other players. They link well with other legends and team mates / managers with the same nationality. In the case of managers there is a league card ‘legend’. In FIFA 16, it is much easier to build squads with legends because now they link well with today’s players. You only need to pair Nationality between a player and a Legend to create the strong green link on the pitch.
